Sympathy Card

Happy New Year!!!  I'm not entirely sure where the second half of 2015 went but I neglected my poor blog and my bloggy friends horribly. My mojo decided to go on vacation for most of the summer and when if finally came back, I fell into a crafting black hole trying to get everything done for the fall holidays (fall cards, Halloween cards and Thanksgiving cards) and Christmas (50+ cards, 24 cards for gift sets, a calendar and 30 mixed media canvases). I promise to post the mixed media canvases I made as Christmas presents over the next few weeks. But for today's post, I'm posting the first card I made in 2016. Sadly it is a sympathy card. My great uncle passed away shortly before the new year and I sent a card to his daughter. I was close to her kids when I was a kid and had many a sleep-over at her house. I kept the card fairly simple.

The image is by Power Poppy and the sentiment is by Rubber Soul. I stamped it with Hero Arts shadow ink in soft granite. I colored the flowers with my new set of koi watercolors. I really like them.

Thanks for stopping by and please come again.
